A road network with a length of over 2,000 kilometers, 5,000 bridges, 160 tunnels, and countless noise barriers, toll booths, rest stops, and factory yards entails a great deal of work. In the field alone, 700 people are employed to collect, carry out and document all the work.
In the past, some of this work was done on paper or on a laptop in the company car, which not only left a lot of room for interpretation, but also entailed time-consuming data transfers. Read the reference report "Central object and task management at ASFINAG" to find out how the object and task management system represents a significant step in the direction of digitization and how a central platform for fulfilling operator obligations was created.
